Oregon Bankers Association and Synergy by Association Elect New Directors Cindy Johnson The Oregon Bankers Association (OBA), Oregon's only trade association dedicated to the banking industry and its customers, elected Cindy Johnson, Wells Fargo regional banking area president, to its board of directors during a meeting held September 7. Johnsonhas been with Wells Fargo for 28 years. In her role as regional bank president she oversees the bank’s Oregon footprint outside of the Portland Metropolitan area. Jeff Bailey OBA’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Synergy by Association (“Synergy”) held its annual meeting in conjunction with the OBA board meeting, at which time two new directors were elected to the Synergy board. Jeff Bailey, president and chief executive officer of Bank of Eastern Oregon was elected to a two-year term. Bailey is also a 20-plus year veteran with his bank. His service on the Synergy board comes on the heels of his 2017-2018 chairmanship of the Oregon Bankers Association. He also serves on the board of OBA’s Education Foundation. Jeffery Bertalotto Jeffery Bertalotto, senior vice president and commercial banking market manager with Columbia Bank was elected to a three-year term on the Synergy board. Bertalotto’s banking career began in 1980 with U.S. Bank. In 2000 he joined West Coast Bank, which became Columbia Bank in 2013 through a merger. In his current role, Bertalotto leads the bank’s commercial banking group in Oregon and SW Washington. “OBA and Synergy are fortunate to have these experienced professionals on their respective boards,” stated OBA and Synergy Chief Executive Officer Linda Navarro. “These individuals represent the diverse membership of our organization, which includes community, regional and national banks.
